Stoneship Memories The fog laid heavily over the age of Stoneship. Silence was all that had disturbed the peace over the several years that the stranger had last stepped across those rickety planks. The age seemed to have calmed its relentless storm and was working its way to solace.

Rio immediately fell down to his hands and knees once the link from Myst snapped him into Stoneage. God, how he hated linking; it never failed to rearrange everything in his digestive track. He stayed as still as the islands of stone that made up his immediate surroundings. Inhaling the salty sea air seemed to calm his nerves.

"Come on, move it!" a girl of about fifteen said to her eleven-year-old companion. "We have to get out of here before the guard shows up!"

The awesome little kids living in the apartment across the hall from my sister and I... just moved out yesterday.

I say awesome, and I mean awesome. Those two (a brother and sister) were always coming over to hang out, talk Pokemon, quote Freakazoid, and engage in Doctor Who-themed shenanigans. We played superheroes and secret agents and vikings and robots (they were the ones that came up with Robot Parade [link] ). We read Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books together. We introduced them to Portal (hear them make an adorable mess of a Blue Sky podfic audition! [link] ). They nick-named our cat Petra "Pe-TREE-a" for no apparent reason. They provided us with an endless supply of unprovoked randomness (Little girl: "Believe this. Your dress is alive, and it says: 'You are SO grounded.'").

We. Are. Going. To. MISS THEM.
