Adventures in Underland by Artoveli Adventures in Underland by Artoveli
My entry for the "Picture Yourself in Wonderland" contest currently being hosted by DA.

Instead of limiting myself to a single portrait, I tried to think of a few different scenarios to illustrate what would have happened if McTwisp really had made the unfortunate mistake of bringing the wrong person down the rabbit hole...

1 - For pretty much the whole time I had to stagger around squinting at stuff because my glasses didn't shrink with me, and the Dodo wouldn't give me his specs after Absolem proclaimed that I wasn't Alice by any stretch of the imagination.

2 - I was happy to unburden Tarrant of a little bit of his misery by at last unraveling this mystery for him.

3 - I'd like to thank the gardener from the bottom of my heart for putting a giant rosebush right there.

4 - The choice of a corset or a codfish is no choice at all.

5 - You should never watch your food being prepared.

6 - I was EXTREMELY NOT OKAY with this.

That last fiasco was such a colossal disappointment to everyone that I had to climb back down/up the rabbit hole by myself. But at least my glasses fit me again.

A raven is like a writing desk because Poe wrote on both.

I know several answers, including yours, but the official answer is: "Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!"

I get the first part, but not the second.

Well, no one would mistake the front end of either a raven or a writing desk for the back, right? Except that "nevar" is actually raven spelled backwards.:XD:

This was Lewis Carroll's answer to the riddle, so of course it's a little off-the-wall.
