Rip Van Sploik, a la Artoveli Rip was standing on the edge of the cliff, reflecting on how much heavier Ling was now than the last time He'd had to pull her to safety.

"Hold on,  I'll get a rope!"  Gunguy cast about frantically for a rope or a vine or a snake or a length of electrical cord, which was largely an exercise in futility as they were on a barren grassy plateau.

Rip could feel His muscles creaking with the strain.  Ling, holding on to Rip for dear life, was surprisingly calm and chatty.

Whoa, Cyan overload!!!!

These were all drawn individually, I'm just sweeping up my Cyan doodles and such into one big picture.

--For those who don't know, Cyan is the character I always imagine the player as in the Myst series of computer games.--

I was having fun imagining the relationship between Cyan and Atrus' family. By the time Exile rolls around you're apparently pretty close, and in Revelation Yeesha knows you as a close family friend, sooo...

I kinda stole that star wars joke from 'Reign of Fire,' where movies are gone so the people tell the plots as bed-time stories to the little kids. I've always thought that was a cool idea.

That's :iconfaeliscity: who's made off with Cyan's boots, as she once remarked on how much she liked them and wished she could have them. Poor Cyan...

That "No more blue pages" thing was the original doodle I did of that joke, only here it seems like he's reacting to something specific (like, say, the monkey-chomper on Chanelwood...). I liked his body language here so I thought I'd put it up even though I've already done that joke.

And guys? Yeesha goes NUTS when she grows up. Like, it's not even funny. What the heck happened to her???? Anyway, that bottom-right comic came about after I watched the opening sequence to End of Ages. I was feeling pretty depressed after that. And Yeesha was acting like she didn't know you at all! Though in all fairness it's probably not supposed to be the same person by the time that game comes around, Cyan just happens to be stuck in an eternal time bubble and is actually a lot older than he looks. So this idea gave me a chuckle.

I can see most people still think the main character in Myst V is the same stranger.
The myst story is about 200 years in length and the main character in Myst V is actually Dr. Watson.

The inherent ridiculousness is the entire reason I stuck Cyan in a time bubble. Don't worry, I realize it's not SUPPOSED to be the same Stranger. It just is. In my head.

AH, yes. Yeesha was so much cuter before she partially shaved her head to make room for a tattoo, cut it short and (somehow) turned it a vague shade of red. But not before she got dreadlocks, of course. Can’t be forgetting those.
